Futures and Pasts in Transition.
Family Conversations on Occupational and Personal Ambitions and Perspectives in Luxembourg
This FNR-sponsored international project investigated people’s expectations of the future and how they re-evaluate the past as a result in Luxembourg, Germany and the US-states of Florida and Georgia. Qualitative interviews with members of three generations – who considered themselves to form a “family” – were conducted first individually and then in an intergenerational setting. In a second phase, three peer-groups were invited to discuss about their hopes and fears of the future.
