Joëlle Weis

PhD Student 

 

Joëlle Weis has studied history at the University of Vienna. Before joining the Unviersity of Luxembourg, she worked on the Austrian START-project „Monastic Enlightenment and the Benedictine Republic of Letters” from 2010-2014. Currently, she writes her PhD thesis on Johann Friedrich Schannat (1683-1739) and the European Republic of Letters under the supervision of Michel Margue (Uni.lu) and Thomas Winkelbauer (University of Vienna). Her fields of research are history of Early Modern European scholarship and history of historiography.
