Andrea Binsfeld
Associate Professor
Andrea Binsfeld has studied history, archaeology and classical philology at the University of Trier. She received a PhD from this University in 2002 on the topic of the Graffiti of the early Christian church of Trier. From 2003-2011 she was a research associate in the project “Forschungen zur antiken Sklaverei” at the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. Since 2011, she is associate professor for Classics at the University of Luxemburg. Her fields of research are social history, esp. ancient slavery; history and archaeology of Roman Gaul; epigraphy and late antiquity; digital history and archaeology. She is Full Member of the German Archaeological Institute as well as Board Member of the Commission for Ancient History and Epigraphy, Munich.
